Realtime POS supports barcode scanning for ease of use. Use a scanner to:

  • Verify each item against the PO.

  • Automatically update quantities in the system.

If barcode scanning is unavailable, items can be manually entered using their SKU or product code.

Once items are scanned or entered:

  • Confirm that the received quantities match the delivery note and PO.

  • Inspect items for damage or discrepancies.

  • Update the system to note any partial deliveries or backordered items.

Tip: Report damaged or incorrect items immediately to the supplier to initiate returns or replacements.

Conducting Receiving stock either from the Head Office for a location or receive from a POS station for that location. Both methods are cross-linked to the original purchase orders.

After verifying the stock:

  • Mark the PO as “Received” or “Partially Received” in the Realtime POS system.

  • Inventory levels are automatically updates for the corresponding items.

  • Generate a printed receipt or confirmation for records.
