No. There are no databases installed at any location. All data is self-contained in an encrypted file with a small foot-print. In cases on software re-installation a new encrypted file is generated with all the data pertinent to the station being re-installed from the cloud. You can be up & running in less than 10 minutes after recovery.
You would not be able to, however we suggest either implementing a DIAL backup modem or a Backup Wifi connection for processing credit card transaction while offline. contact us for more information.
The program can operate in offline for up to 30 days continuously before it needs to sync with the Cloud. While in offline mode, all data specific to that station is in tact (customers, Inventory,Staff, customer history, etc…) Obviously any new changes will not be reflected from Head office until the disconnected node is connected to the internet & online again. All seamlessly synchronized when connected.
Yes, every piece of data (sale, inventory, staff, revenue, etc…) is represented in real time across all connected nodes (store POS, back office, etc…) regardless of how the solution was deployed (Hosted service, on-premise or private cloud). The core solution behaves the same regardless of how it is deployed.
In-store servers are expensive to maintain and requires constant attention and finetuning to ensure a reliable service for your company. We do offer the solution deployment for on-premise so you can bring it in house or host it on a private cloud service. contact us for more information.
